Crown Victorias of Glenville, West Virginia

2003 crown victoriaYou’ve seen them. Everywhere you go in the 50 states of America, you’ll find these cars rolling down the city streets and you probably never gave them a second thought. These Ford Crown Victorias, 2003 models to be exact, are the same types of cars that police departments and many taxi companies use in their day-to-day activities. In Glenville, West Virginia, there are three that are up for auction, with their mileages ranging from 50-85K. Not so bad for 10-year-old cars.

The Crown Victorias were actually discontinued after 2011, so you won’t be seeing any new models out on the road. For that matter, it makes it even more meaningful to pick up a model for yourself. These cars are, after all, quite durable and reliable (why would the police use them if they weren’t?), so it makes a lot of sense to trust the engineering team for putting these automobiles together. While the Crown Victoria may be discontinued, you can’t count out the fact that they may resurface in the future. The original Crown Victorias were discontinued in 1956, but were revived by Ford in 1991. With plenty of legroom in these four-door sedans, and a nice rear-wheel drive capability, you’ve got comfort on top of reliability.

You can find these cars in Glenville, WV at an ongoing online auction by GSA. You won’t be able to check anything out unless you register for your free trial, so do yourself a favor and do so and then check out all of these auto auctions that are being put up for sale by the government all over the country.
